A 501(c)3 Ministry

Testimonials

We’ve never solicited a testimonial. Nevertheless, we receive very kind emails on a regular basis from our families. What follows is a smattering. Of course, all the names have been changed.

Sometimes they come from parents:

“I see growth in Julianne this year, and we are thrilled that she is actually learning physics and not weeping from algebra, as she has been known to do in the past. I think the Dear Doug assignments have been wonderful. She is a quiet girl, and although does not share her faith easily with unbelievers, she is developing an ability to talk about her faith. Your worldview class has been excellent for her. So, again, thank you.”

“I have had a few conversations with friends lately and have been expressing the blessings that God has given us this year. One of our greatest has been Equip. I don't want to be negligent in expressing our thanks for your ministry to all the homeschool kids and specifically our daughter. I realize that it is truly a ministry and appreciate your gifts being used for God's glory in training a new generation!”

“Hi Chris, Jeffrey and I were having brunch with a group of people, some of which we had never met. Because Jeffrey is home schooled and in high school, the group eagerly asked what he was reading now in school. Of course, they were shocked and impressed that it was Plato's Republic. Unbeknownst to us, three of the guests studied philosophy in depth. They proceeded to ask Jeffrey questions for about twenty minutes. He answered in ways I never knew he was capable of. Everyone was amazed and thought I was due the credit...don't I wish!!!! Kudos to you Mr. Curtis on a job well done!”

“I hope this email finds you both doing well. I do not have Mrs. Taylor's email address, so if you could please forward this to her I would be grateful. I just wanted to give you some feedback on Eddie's first day at Equip. When he called me to tell me about his day, I wrote down some of his comments. "It was the best day ever." “No one told me to sit down or shut up the entire day. It’s like they actually care about us.” "All of the teachers are so nice and they care what we have to say, Mr. Curtis even asked what we thought about some things." "I learned something in Math that I have been doing wrong since the beginning, now I get it, Mr. McChesney taught it the best way ever." "I think these teachers care what happens to me." "Mrs. Taylor really wants to to help us, she wants us to get it." I could go on and on. I am sure you have heard some of these comments before from other students. This is huge for us because Eddie has had a pretty tough time in school. I just wanted to say thank you very much and give you feedback so that you can see that what you are doing is working really, really well! His first day at home went pretty well. He started promptly at 8:00 am and completed just about all his work, including science experiments by 10:30 am. I think this is the first time I have ever seen him do something, say it was not presentable and redo it. I think he knows he will be held accountable. Please feel free to let us know of anything we can do to help on our end. God bless all of you.

“I just wanted to let you know that I got the test result back from Allison's end of the year test. I gave her absolutely no assistance either this year or last year. Last year she did very poorly and that was one of the reasons we starting looking for alternatives to public school as she did not want to go to public school - or a formal Christian school for that matter. This year she did very well, in fact her reading comprehension was almost at the 90% percentile and overall her grade equivalency jumped almost five years!!!! Thank you and Mr. Curtis again for all your hard work.

“Thank you for inviting Jonah to serve at His House today. Words cannot express the impact it had on him. He walked in through our front door and the moment he saw me, he laid his arms around me and began to cry. It was humbling to see the mourning in his eyes for those little children. Thank you for allowing my family to be a part of this ministry.”

Sometimes they come from current students:

“I just thought I should encourage, and let you know that I was actually sad that I didn't have a writing class with you this year. Every situation I'm given, I love to write papers now, especially since I make it look fancy, professional, and an altogether spectacular paper. Thanks for all the help throughout writing class last year, it truly changed my life!”

Sometimes they come from former students:

“Hey Mr. McChesney! I thought I should send you an email thanking you and Mr. Curtis for my knowledge of Math and Latin. In my Algebra 1 class, I have a 99% A+ and haven’t scored lower than a 90 on any test. In my online Latin course, I am starting out very well due to my prior knowledge in the subject! So thank you very much for everything you guys taught me last year!”
