We understand that circumstances can change.  If a family decides to switch to an “audit status” or “independent study status” after previously selecting to take the full course enrollment, their request will be honored.

Not all classes qualify for audit or independent study. See Course Descriptions for availability.

AUDIT

Thinking About Auditing a Course at EQUIP Education?

Auditing a course allows families to participate in live class discussions and access the syllabus and homework assignments without fulfilling the course homework requirements by a certain deadline. In addition, the instructor will not be responsible for grading the work or providing support outside of class time for auditing students.

Auditing provides families the benefit of receiving live instruction and planned implementation but allows parents to ultimately decide what homework and assignments the student should complete and what grade they receive for that work.  The student will only be accountable to the parent and will not receive grades or report cards from EQUIP.

INDEPENDENT

STUDY

Thinking About An Independent Study Course at EQUIP Education?

Independent Study Courses with Instructor Review allow students to complete a course and stay accountable by having access to all the planned coursework, syllabus, and homework assignments.  Students are responsible for submitting coursework with quarterly/semester deadlines.   Instructors will review, comment, and grade your student’s work and they will be provided with a Report Card with Cumulative GPA Calculations.

Independent Study with Instructor Review provides families the benefit of receiving the planned instruction for a course and receiving the instructor’s feedback/grading for classes that might have a live instruction day/time that doesn’t work for your schedule.
